Charting Our Course
Join the SWLA Tech Pirates as we chart our course through the ever-changing seas of STEM, robotics, and leadership. From our humble beginnings to becoming a force in the FIRST Robotics Competition, discover how we empower our crew and inspire the next generation of innovators.
Our Voyage
Our journey began at Barbe High School, where a small crew of passionate students set sail into the world of STEM. Three years ago, we expanded our reach to cover the entire SWLA region, welcoming students from various schools to join our ever-growing crew. As we continue to navigate the seas of robotics and innovation, our mission remains the same: to inspire and empower the next generation of leaders, problem-solvers, and innovators through hands-on learning and teamwork.
Our Pirate's Creed
At the heart of the SWLA Tech Pirates is a code we all live by—our Pirate’s Creed. We believe in fostering creativity, collaboration, and leadership through every challenge we face. But we are more than a team; we are a family. We support each other on and off the field, working together with trust, respect, and a shared passion for learning. Our creed is anchored in Gracious Professionalism and Coopertition, ensuring that while we strive for victory, we uplift and learn from our peers and competitors. As a crew, we sail toward a brighter future, knowing that together we can conquer any storm.
